The Griffin Elite Sports and Wellness athletic performance staff will design and implement a program using the newest techniques for sport specific training to develop strength and power, improve speed and agility, and reduce the likelihood of injury during competition or practice. We use a wide variety of equipment such as plyometric boxes, bands, ladders, free weights and more. When needed, testing is used to identify strengths/weaknesses and track progress. This information helps to direct program development, keep athletes motivated, and maintain the effectiveness of training protocols. Athletes will be progressed appropriately based on skill level and their ability to adapt to the demands of the sport. Athletes/clients are always treated with respect and dignity to ensure the highest level of comfort and productivity possible when working at Griffin Elite.

Blake is originally from the Pacific Northwest where he attended Central Washington University for his undergraduate degree and Eastern Washington University for his graduate degree. He first started working in the athletic performance field since the beginning of his undergraduate degree. Blake has made stops at the professional and collegiate level, his most recent stop prior to Griffin Elite was Texas A & M University. Blake has also has worked in the private sector where he spent a portion of his time training and developing youth and high school athletes. In terms of certifications, Blake holds several industry leading ones including the CSCS, and stays up to date will all current training philosophies and concepts. Blake has a specific training philosophy and progression that he applies to his athletes, that enable them to reach and exceed performance goals in an efficient manner.

Brett is a Wisconsin native and three sport high school athlete that played Division III baseball at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he also completed his degree in Kinesiology. After an internship with the Division I Wisconsin Badger Strength and Conditioning Department he worked as a personal trainer and CrossFit coach. He earned a Graduate Assistantship position at Lindenwood University where he earned his Master’s in Human Performance while coaching college athletes full time. Upon graduation he accepted an Athletic Performance coaching job at the Division II University of Missouri- St. Louis where he spent 4 years prior to moving to Northern Kentucky to join the Griffin Elite team.

Trey is a former collegiate soccer player who played at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a player Trey traveled to Madrid and Barcelona Spain, where he was able to gain valuable playing and training experiences with players and coaches at the highest level. Trey is currently coaching at Dixie Heights High School and is a former trainer for the Northern Kentucky Soccer Academy. Trey is determined to use his experience and knowledge in the game of soccer to help each athlete reach their full potential.
